At Trojan Scaffolding we work on a wide range of projects; covering houses and residential buildings, through to office blocks and industrial units. Here you’ll find examples of some of our recent work.
German Historical Institute
The German Historical Institute is a listed building on Bloomsbury Square in Central London. This projected entailed the restoration of the existing stone façade and sash window repairs. Due to the busy location of this building, additional care had to be taken when completing the traffic and pedestrian management plans.

METS – Earls Court Sub Station
This project required the installation of a new ventilation system in a power supply building for a major transport company.
A careful and precise scaffold design was required due to the extremely sensitive nature of the working area. We built a scaffold over transformers which have an input current of 22 kva and re-distributed at 12 kva, which in turn supplies a whole network. We worked in collaboration with G. W. Coote to plan and design the scaffold carefully as we had a minimal floor area to construct from. Aluminium beams were connected to support towers to span the transformers and create a heavy duty protection deck. The scaffold was then raised progressively to create a working deck to enable the old existing fans, which weighed 500kg, each to be dismantled and removed, ready for the installation of the new fans and motors.
Breyer Roofing – Chertsey Avenue Guildford
Scaffold was required for re-roofing six properties in Guildford; calling for a heavy duty loading bay due to the limited space available elsewhere on site for client storage. In addition, we also faced the added challenge of a narrow foot way and disabled parking bays which meant the scaffold to the side elevation could not be ground baring. As a result we created an engineers design and plan in collaboration with G. W. Coote to ensure no scaffold touched the pavement, allowing the roofing project to go ahead as planned.
